Connect One-on-One With Other Producers

The Messages page (accessible from the envelope icon in the header) is MIDI Lab's direct messaging feature. It lets you have private, one-on-one conversations with any registered user. Whether you want to collaborate on a track, ask about someone's preset, or just say you liked their jam — it is a direct line.

Finding and Starting Conversations

Open the Messages page and search for a user by username to start a new conversation. All your conversations are listed on the left side, sorted by most recent activity. Unread message counts show up as a badge on the envelope icon in the header so you never miss a reply.

The @official MIDI Lab Account

When you create your account, you will receive a welcome message from @official — MIDI Lab's verified support account. Think of it as a direct line to the team. If you have a question, hit a bug, or want to give feedback, just reply in that conversation.

No staff member or moderator will ever contact you from any account other than @official. If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be MIDI Lab support from a different account, do not engage — report it to us at midilabai@gmail.com.

Broadcast Notifications

Occasionally, MIDI Lab sends platform-wide in-app notifications from @official to announce major feature launches, events, or important updates. These appear in your notification bell — not as emails. They are sent sparingly and only for genuinely important news. You will always find them in the full Notifications list at /notifications.

Messages Stay Private

Direct messages are visible only to you and the person you are messaging. They are not visible to other users or the public. For more on how we handle message data, see our Privacy Policy.
