Following Creators and the MIDI Lab Feed
A Feed Built Around MIDI
Most social music platforms are built for audio. The MIDI Lab Feed is different: everything in it — tracks, presets, live sessions — is MIDI. That means you can listen to someone's shared track in the browser, save it to your Collection, load it into your own Infinite Engine, and start jamming from where they left off. It is less "listen passively" and more "steal like an artist."
How to Follow Creators
Visit any user's public profile at midilab.ai/@username and click Follow. Once you follow someone, two things happen:
- Their shared tracks and presets show up in your Following tab in the Feed — so you never miss a drop from producers whose style you love.
- You get instant in-app notifications when they share something new or go live.
You can unfollow at any time from their profile. Follower and following counts are public on every profile.
The For You and Following Tabs
The Feed has two views:
- For You — A mix of recent tracks, presets, and live rooms from the whole community. Good for discovery.
- Following — Only content from creators you follow. Cleaner, more intentional.
Switch between them from the Feed header. The Live Rooms tab is separate and shows active Jam Sessions in real time so you can jump in as a viewer.
Notifications When Creators Go Live
If a creator you follow starts a Jam Session, you get a notification with a direct link to join as a viewer immediately. The notification stays in your list and shows "was live" once the session ends — so you always know if you can still tune in.
Sharing Your Own Work
Tracks and presets are private by default. When you are ready to share, click the Share icon on any track card in your Library. That single toggle makes it visible on your public profile and in the community Feed simultaneously. Unsharing is just as easy — one click and it is gone from the Feed.
